Can I transfer MB?

Recommended Posts

Hi. I hope I'm in the right forum for this:

I have a new laptop and would like to protect it with MB. Can I transfer protection from my old laptop, to my new?

I am a paying member. Coverage may be lapsed. I dont know. But if so, can I cover all my machines with one purchase?

If this is not permitted, or possible, I would understand. :)

Thanks,

David

Hello, and welcome, Blueline:

1 License per 1 computer only, and only for personal use.

So, first uninstall from old computer, & then use that same license to register on the new one.

(If you need to install PRO on more than 1 computer, then take advantage of the discounts for multiple licenses; these will be calculated automatically when you check out. Corporate, business, enterprise users need to go through "corporate" for purchase/licensing.)

Thank you for your quick reply, Daledoc. I have 3 machines, now. I will take advantage of the discount.

Thanks, again.

Hi and welcome to malwarebytes,

Please do the following:

  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here
  • It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important
  • After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here
    • Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version
    • Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.
Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it.
