outgoing blocks while at site

Recommended Posts

while at some websites, I get a popup about blocked IP addresses. When I look at the logs it states:

21:02:59 Home IP-BLOCK 213.174.140.175 (Type: outgoing, Port: 54146, Process: firefox.exe)

21:03:32 Home IP-BLOCK 88.85.68.2 (Type: outgoing, Port: 54158, Process: firefox.exe)

21:03:32 Home IP-BLOCK 88.85.68.2 (Type: outgoing, Port: 54159, Process: firefox.exe)

Does this mean that my computer is infected or does it mean an infection was blocked.. I looked through the forums and found no info on this...

Also, what is the difference between a FLASH and QUICK scan...

Thanks much...

Hello and :)

If you are getting IP Blocks while you are currently on a site, more than likely it is blocking something in that site so Malwarebytes is working as designed....

The flash scan is supposed to be quicker than a Quick Scan. We principally introduced it for our paid users, who can trigger our Scheduler to run a flash scan after every database update. The idea of the flash scan is to give a quick-and-dirty picture of whether there is likely any malware at all on the system, and if there is, the user is recommended to follow up with a Quick Scan.
