Recommended Posts

So me and this guy (I don't know, thought I'd help him) have created a topic on a forum (thousands of people are on it a lot.)

And we're compiling a list for things that could help your computer, and I've ran out of ideas,

So far we have:

CCleaner - Clean innecesary things - 100% customizable

nCleaner

Recuva

PC Inspector Smart Recovery 4.5

Notepad++

PsPad

.Net

C++

Visual Basic

Microsoft Kodu, programing lenguage for kids.

MozBackup

AdBlock Plus

NoScript

DesktopOk - Desktop Manager

AutoMute - Manage the sound on startup.

Sandra 2010 Lite - Perfomance manager

UpdateStar - Windows Update manager

7-zip

LibreOffice

TweakUI : Installation tweaker

Efficient Password Manager - Manage your passwords

Split & Join - File Splitter and gatherer

MiPony - Files downloader NOT P2P

Creative Alchemy - fix 3D 5.1 sound on WV and W7 (only works on Creative cards!!

CdburnerXP - Burner for XP.

Roadkil's Unstoppable copier - repair broken CD's and DVD's

DocPrint - Create license photos easy ONLY ON SPANISH.

Fiabee - Security copys on-line

Macrium Reflex

NOTE: Most of these I haven't suggested, although I did suggest AdBlock, NoScript and Macrium Reflex. (Anything else on there was already on there and I have NOT suggested it.)

Thank you. :)

There are a couple things that need fixed here.

1. C++ isn't a program it's language. There are several C++ development tools so using C++ is going to be too broad.

2. There are several versions of the .Net Framework so it would be a good idea to list them all and maybe give some examples to some programs that require specific ones.

3. Microsoft Kudo is a kids programming tool for game creation. Probably should make note of that.

4. Macrium Reflect not Reflex.

1. OK, but it's more of it leading on how to do it, should have mentioned that.

2. OK, I'll suggest that.

3. EDIT: Not sure why Kudo is on that. :)

4. Shhh

Is this more of a recommended software list? Little confused on what this is for so sorry if I seemed to be picking on you.

Don't worry, it's fine, It's kind of like, a software list for things, and have it's own sections. (There are downloads linked with the words, and titles for each type of program.)

FastStone Capture

FastStone Photo Resizer

Process Explorer

Search Everything

Revo Uninstaller

IMgBurn

PC Wizard 2010

I'm not very good at this but I;ll give it a go!!

I use FastStone Capture for my screen shots. Be sure to get the free version 3.5.

I use FastSone Photo Resizer to reduce the pixils of pictures so they are faster to load when sending or attaching pictures

Process Explorer is used in place of Task Manager. It gives you more details and options to work with your processes.

Search Everything is used to find all your files and folders on your PC.

Revo Uninstaller is used to remove programs you no longer want.

IMgBurn burns data to a CD or DVD

PC Wizzard shows every thing about your PC.

Sorry if want this explained better, maybe some one that still likes me will help me explain better

Hello friend!!

Here is a picture of my home.

I have used FastStone Resizer to Reduce the Pixels from 3648X2736 3,690KB to 640X480 108KB which you will beable to load much faster. If I had attached the original picture, it would take a lot longer to load.

Not sure there really is a need to re-invent the wheel so to speak. This site Gizmos Freeware Reviews (as well as a few others) already do an excellent job of offering advise on all types of software.

Hello Ron!!

Very nice link. I have it book marked.

I think you will find about any thing you need here conor!!

I was going to add more, but I think this has been nicely covered by Ron!!

I looked at the link and I found every thing I use there, so I will not add more to this thread.

It gave me a chance to explain some of my apps and show a picture of my home :blink:
