Scan didn't check all my files and can't locate a scan log

Recommended Posts

I just downloaded Malwarebytes last night and ran a scan. It scanned only 200,000 files and I had it set to scan all. My virus scanner usually scans a little more than 700,000 scans so what could be stopping this program from checking all of my files? It didn't find any problems but I still think there's something up with my computer. There are too many signs for me to ignore. But right now I'm hoping that someone can help me get the scanner to scan all files.

The other thing is that I tried deleting "locked" files and I was successful deleting an index.dat file but it didn't delete them all. I have a couple of accounts on my computer and I managed to get one of the index.dat file to delete but the other one wouldn't. Any suggestions?

Hope someone can help.

Cheers! :)

Hello Sheilaxyz,

To get the scan logs you will need to ensure you have 'save logs automatically' set (normally set by default). This is in the settings tab within the GUI.

Then to access your log, go to the log folder within the GUI and double click on the log with the date (time) you scanned.
