No, it won't, though it will save a log as long as you have MBAM set to do so. Silent scans require no user input, and thus provide no notifications of detected threats. That being the case, silent scans are generally for automated removal, using the Remove and quarantine all threats automatically. option.

Honestly, I'm inclined to agree with you. Personally, I always have all of my protection software (including Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware) set to ask me what to do, that way I can verify that it's not a false positive as well as do research on what the particular threat that's been detected may have altered on my system.

That being said, if you do want the scans to remain silent, just be sure to review your scan logs regularly to check the results and you should be fine, and of course, keep the protection module active at all times to protect you against threats trying to install.
