I did a quick google on your issue and it seems the scan.msi file is related to hp printer driver software and to fix it the HP printer software needed to be uninstalled and then reinstalled. If this is in fact the case with your pc, then I would also recommend downloading and installing the newest version of the drivers/software from hp support as having up to date drivers can help with system stability. If you don't have an hp, or don't have any of their software installed then please ignore this post, I was just trying to help out.
