zeusoid Posted November 4, 2008 ID:33593 Share Posted November 4, 2008 When running a full scan Malwarebytes freezes. The cpu usage is zero none of the buttons or tabs work. I can close it out but get the message "program is not responding". When frozen I can still use my computer as normal. I can't get a log. It freezes on a file in C:/RECYCLER It may be something in Zone Alarm. I had to exclude a different file in C:/RECYCLER when avast froze during scans and help in there forums told me which file to exclude and said it was related to ZA. Since I can not get a log I don't see any way to exclude the file it seems to freeze on. I let it run overnite so I know it was not just scaning slow. Running XP SP3. Thanks for any help. Here is a screen shot of when it freezes.
JeanInMontana Posted November 7, 2008 ID:33907 Share Posted November 7, 2008 Hi sorry for no reply until now. What version of MBAM are you using? What are your system specifications?
Swandog46 Posted November 10, 2008 ID:34204 Share Posted November 10, 2008 We also think this may have something to do with ZoneAlarm. Can you please temporarily uninstall ZA, reboot completely after the uninstall, and let us know if the problem still occurs? Naturally you can reinstall ZA after we ascertain this. Thank you!
