This machine is unable to open any programs, including Malwarebytes, notepad or paint, or any browsers (i'm currently online using IE through windows explorer). I've tried to comply with first post instructions and am unable to do so. Any program I attempt to open will start briefly then close. At that point Spyware Protection informs me the program I tried to open is infected with W32/Blaster.worm.

Aside from my current use of IE, Spyware Protector is the only thing that will run. I have two "other" machines available to help resolve this problem if needed.

I'm sorry for so late a return, I've been ill. But I have good news. In addition to the problems above I was unable to use task mgr to kill the process running. The machine is a staff PC, so another staff member downloaded iexplore.exe (i'm unfamiliar with it) to kill the process according to the notes I left. The next morning I was able to run malwarebytes & avast, which is the other program on the machine.

I am not at the machine currently, as I'm still ill, but when I have the opportunity I will post according with the requested information just to make sure everything is okay.
