I installed malwarebytes recently but now it wont update. when i click on it it says its out of date but and ask me if i want to update but every time i click yes it looks like it's updating until it get to the end and starts all over again. Also when i go on malwarbytes without clicking yes you can't click on the update tab thing.

Do you have the latest version? It is 1.5.1.1100.

Open Malwarebytes and click on "about" to find your version. Some download sites have old versions that will not update. If this is not the issue please post back.

Thank you

Thanks for the reply. yep that is the one i have. only mine has a 0 after the 5. assume it's the same

Please run the following scanner and post back the logs. Are you using the free version or the paid version?

Download
DDS
and save it to your desktop

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click
dds.scr
to run the tool.

When done, the
DDS.txt
will open.

Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

  1. DDS.txt

  2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop

  • Please include the following logs in your next reply:
    DDS.txt
    and
    Attach.txt
