lots of problems, malwarebytes not working :(

Recommended Posts

ok, i'm pretty sure my computer is super infected....but when i run malwarebytes it doesn't find any problems. i just downloaded the latest version and it seems to be compromised. when i open malwarebytes it starts the scan immediately with out asking me what type of scan i'd like to perform. when it completes, it finds no maliscious files.

clearly something is very wrong with my PC because after a few minutes of working on it, i get an error message that says an application must be terminated and then everything basically freezes and i can't do anything, not even bring up the task manager.

i have ran malwarebytes in safemode, it found a couple of things and delted them, but the problem was not fixed.

what should i do??

Hi denverjason,

Download TFC to your desktop

  • Close any open windows.
  • Double click the TFC icon to run the program
  • TFC will close all open programs itself in order to run,
  • Click the Start button to begin the process.
  • Allow TFC to run uninterrupted.
  • The program should not take long to finish it's job
  • Once its finished it should automatically reboot your machine,
  • if it doesn't, manually reboot to ensure a complete clean

It's normal after running TFC cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time.

Please perform the directions here, and copy/paste all requested logs into your next reply (do NOT attach any of them):

I'm infected - What do I do now?

They will enable us to troubleshoot what is ailing your computer.
