Dear Malwarebytes-Team,

a customer of us reported that a small sub-program from our software

AntiBrowserSpy is detected as malware by your product. Of course the program

is not a malware and is a fully functional and essential part of our program

AntiBrowserSpy (see http://www.abelssoft.net/abs.php ).

I have attached the false alert to this email. Please remove it from your

database as soon as possible.

Best greetings,

Dr. Sven Abels

It would be a huge help if you could post a scan log here and/or any files we detect.

Thanks a lot for your message.

We got the message from a customer of us and I have attached the screenshot that we have received.

The website for our software is available at

http://www.abelssoft.net/abs.php

The download of the setup is available at

http://www.abelssoft.net/d.php?fn=abs

The file that is detected in the wrong was is one part of the program and will be located in the program files directory. I have uploaded this file at

http://www.abelssoft.de/temp/converter.exe

This should be fixed in the next update.

a Friendly tip, for future releases .. Fill out the version info for the file. It makes the file look less like malware.

For example..

http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/report...2031-1294181646

You still have 4 other av's currently hitting the file.

Thanks a lot for pointing me to this.

We will fill our the version info with the next update and we will sign it with your digital signature in the next update to ensure that this won't happen again.

We also just got the confirmation from McAffee as well that they removed their false alert with their next update.

Best greetings

Sven
