User Account Controls and MBAM in Win7

Recommended Posts

I've had my new computer with Win7 for several weeks and this one has got me stumped:

Why do some programs trigger the UAC prompt asking me "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" and others don't? Ones that make me click yes include MBAM and CCleaner. Programs that don't and just open include SuperAntispyware and iTunes.

Tech support from my PC maker said it has to do with what Windows considers safe and trustworthy but I'm thinking it has to do with permissions. But I'm sure I installed every program the same that is while logged in as administrator (which is the only account).
