Help with HijackThis log

Recommended Posts

Hello. I'm new here so I hope everything goes smoothly for everyone involved. First, I used Malwarebyte Anti-Malware and discovered I had 6 instances of malware on my computer, so I removed them (I think) through this program. Now, I am still a bit worried that there are some more instances of malware on my computer even after supposedly removing all previously attached items. Thus, I would like to kindly ask if some brave soul might be able to decipher this Hijack-This log in hopes of getting some peace of mind (or get ready to combat some more malware) about the state of my computer. Thanks a bundle if someone can help.

Thank you very much for helping me out during this time. I shall try to scan my computer with the programs you have provided me with as soon as possible. I am not an administrator on my computer, so I am trying to see if I can turn off my current Anti-Spyware program. Thanks again and I shall get to scanning as soon as possible.

Hi,

You are going to need administrative privileges on this PC in order to clean it - it's just not possible otherwise. If this is a work / business PC please read the following:

I'm sorry, but if this is a business PC you would be better served by your IT staff or Malwarebytes Corporate Support. There are a number of reasons I recommend this:

  • If you are running Malwarebytes on a business system, it must be a licensed version which makes you eligible for priority support at corporate-support@malwarebytes.org
  • If your business has IT support, it would be wiser to utilize them as they are more familiar with your IT environment
  • Many companies have policies against employees doing this type of work on their PCs
  • Your business may have policies or software versions in place that are business critical and should not be altered or removed. Obviously, I would have no way to know what they are. The tools we use for home/personal systems will occasionally alter system settings.
  • Posting your logs in an open forum like this could possibly expose proprietary business informaton.
