win32 fraudo

hopefully someone can give me some advice- I got an errot from Avast telling me that a website i clicked on had given me 2 trojans ( Win 32 Fraudo) according to the log. I am using Firefox as my main browser- how can I close it? I am currently running a scan with MBAM and have ( at the moment ) 11 infected files. What should I do next to remove this problem?

Is the infection is causing the browser to hang you can close it using Task Manager

End process with Task Manager

for Windows XP

  1. Open Task Manager by pressing and holding Crtl + Alt + Delete keys simultaneously
    or right click your Taskbar... choosing Task Manager from the menu.
    In the Task manager window
  2. Press the "Processes"...tab.
  3. Click Image Name column heading...to alphabetize the list.
  4. Find the following process:
  5. right click on it & click End Process Tree
  6. close Task Manager when finished

For Windows Vista & Wndows 7

  1. TO open Task Manager Press and hold the Crtl + Alt + Delete keys simultaneously.
  2. Select Task Manager.
  3. Select All Programs On This Computer ... at the prompt click Allow.
  4. Click the Processes tab
  5. Click Image Name column heading...to alphabetize the list.
  6. locate: Firefox.exe
  7. Right click on the process entry... then select End Task
  8. Close Task Manager when finished.
