Malwarebytes Tech license phased out??

I have been told by a co-worker in the IT field that MBAM tech edition has been discontinued. We purchased this in September and use it a couple times a week to clear systems. It is one of our most effective tools and we really don't want to lose it. What strikes me as most funny is that if this is the case, we have not been notified that this product will not be available to be renewed.

The alternative offered to the co-worker was to purchase corporate licenses. This is not practical for the small shop or IT pro as we don't use the volume, they were offering to him in lots of 100+ units and we don't do that in a year. It was worth the $100 per tech license for the great job it did on the one PC at a time our techs use it on.

Is this accurate and why have existing licence users not been notified?
