Hi, Lottie:

I don't use AVG, but have you looked here:

http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=71130

http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=71085

If you search the forums here, you'll find several threads on this.

Also, did you try deleting your current scheduled scan, closing MBAM, reopening it, and then scheduling a new scan? (One cannot edit settings for scans already scheduled -- one needs to delete it, and create a new one.)

FWIW, the problem is/was not with MBAM, but with the AVG false-positive detections.

I'm sure one of the experts or mods will be along soon to help you out -- they will get you fixed up, I'm sure.

Regards,

daledoc1

PS, in the interim, if your AVG is now updated with the correct databases (the ones that DON'T detect MBAM files), then you could probably uninstall MBAM, reboot, run mbam-clean.exe, reboot, and download & install a fresh copy of MBAM. It's not the shortest fix, but would probably solve the problem. Be sure to have your license ID and key handy to register.
