Refragmenter Virus??

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone could help me w/ this issue. . . Recently, like yesterday night, I got a refragmenter "program". To me it was pretty obvious it was a virus, so I opened up mozilla firefox b/c it was the only internet browser working (why is that? I know the virus locks down the ability to run programs right??) and found out this was a virus. On a forum, it said to restart on safe mode and rum malwarebytes, and so i did. It said it had gotten rid of 48 inffected items, however, when i restarted, the Refragmenter Virus popped up again. I ran RKILL.exe (although I had to stop some processes w/ task manager first which I was not familiar with) and exited the virus program. I ran Malwarebytes again, and it detected 5 inffected items. I restarted, and then the virus popped up again... Currently I am a student so I need this computer............................. Is there a way to locate the virus file and delete it manually?? Does this have a "backdoor trojan"?? :)

Sorry, but thanks for your help.
