System Tool 2011 Woes

Hi,

I got infected with the System Tool 2011 malware on a laptop running XP Pro SP3, and it's pretty much unusable now. Matters are complicated by the fact that my only connectivity is through a Netgear wireless adapter which doesn't work in safe mode.

I've reviewed the other posts about this scourge, and have downloaded the various rkill variants, dds.scr and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which I'll burn to CD.

Is there anything special about doing it this way and would appreciate any advice.
