Malwarebytes has cleaned off system - Malwarebytes blocks connection

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been working with one of my customers that has purchased the paid version of Malwarebytes, and after cleaning off all the malware we still have one problem. After running a google search in IE if you click on any of the links, Malwarebytes blocks the link and in the screen that comes up shows this link:

active infected link removed by Moderator...

as a problem link. This only occurs in IE - Firefox is fine...there must be some leftover code redirecting the google results to the 94.102 location in the link.

Latest full scan run with the newest Malwarebytes update (last night). Checked the hosts file, disabled all IE addons except Java and flash. Pinged google and it seemed to go to the right server. If you mouse over the links in google the status bar shows the proper website address - not the 94.102 link.

Any ideas on what would do this? I appreciate any help you can give!
