What seems to be a rough AV software

Recommended Posts

Hello all, This is being posted from another pc not the infected one, yesterday during the morning someone was using the computer and seem to catch a malware/rouge anti virus. As my normal protocol I ran malware bytes it found one thing it said that it couldnt do anything about the file it found which was

(perfectoptimizer.exe) after that I ran a norton scan and it found about 33 risks and said it fixed the 33 risked. Though during all of this it disconnected the pc and used the dns to disable the internet which I changed it and made it dynamic dns but still couldn't find the network or connection out.

You can transfer the tools and the log files with a USB flash drive.

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.

  • Disable any script blocking protection.
  • Double click dds.com to run the tool..
  • When done, DDS will open two logs (DDS.txt and Attach.txt).
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

Please include the contents of DDS.txt in your next reply.

Please download Rootkit Unhooker and save it to your Desktop

  • Double-click on RKUnhookerLE to run it
  • Click the Report tab, then click Scan
  • Check Drivers, Stealth Code and uncheck the rest
  • Click OK
  • Wait until it's finished and then go to File > Save Report
  • Save the report to your Desktop

Copy the entire contents of the report and paste it in a reply here.

Note - you may get this warning it is ok, just ignore: "Rootkit Unhooker has detected a parasite inside itself!

It is recommended to remove parasite, okay?"
