WinXP got infected with AA, attempted restore did not work. At first MBAM wouldn't run, after restart I clicked MBAM 3-4 times in rapid motion and one session popped up. It ran without update and found 3 threats, which I removed.

Restarted and same AA still in place, restarted in safe mode and ran full scan (without update) and found no threats. Tried to run update and get MBAM_ERROR_UPDATING (12007, 0, WinHttpSendRequest).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found Antivirus Action automated removal guide and it worked like a charm.
