HDD Fake Defragmenter

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My Windows 7 computer got infected with the HDD fake defragmenter yesterday. I downloaded iExplore and Malwarebytes as suggested on the forum and ran a scan. It found a Trojan virus and I got rid of that. However, when I reboot, HDD is still listed as an installed program, and I still get the "No hard disk" message once in a while.

Did Malwarebytes not find the virus in question? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
