Hacked Email Account

My niece's Hotmail account has been hacked, and everyone on her contact list is being sent random email. How can she stop this?

Hi and welcome, not ontopic (post next time in "PC HELP") but here it goes;

Only one way; make a new one and send all your contacts asap a message they shouldn't open any mails from the old one.

Even better is making a filter which deletes mail from the old email address.

I hope you have a backup of your contacts, I encourage people with online accounts to do this
