strange update

hello and congrats for the best malware detection program! (i made many tests with zero-day maware and its amazing !)

however i have noticed something strange about update,any new update is decreasing the number of loaded fingerprints!!

for example before last update it had 291971 fingerprints and with last update 291771!!! whats wrong?

I believe I read somewhere here that from 1.50 on the "old" fingerprints are removed so this could explain

why there are less numbers...

Try uninstalling mbam and run the cleanup tool after reboot(will require 2).

ok i did :unistall-reboot-run cleanup-reboot-fresh new mbam install

now the fingerprints reduced even further to database verison 5232 fingerprints 291708

CORRECT, that's where I did read it

Due to dramatic improvements in the detection engine there will likely be multiple instances where an update will result in a smaller database and fewer signatures.
