Worried my computer is infected with malware

Recommended Posts

While surfing the web one day I was redirected multiple times and ended up on a page that told me I was being attacked by malicious software and I was told to download this software to remove it. I did not download the software because it seemed suspicious to me. I have ran scans with malwarebytes and my symantic endpoint protection and nothing shows up. I tried Stopzilla and it ran a scan and said there was one infection, Antivirus Best. Is Stopzilla wrong or trying to trick me into buying their software to remove it? Why does malwarebytes not pick up on this threat?

I wouldn't trust any program that says it finds something but makes you pay to remove it.

Please don't attach the scan results, use Copy/Paste

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

Vista and Windows 7 users:

1. These tools MUST be run from the executable. (.exe) every time you run them

2. With Admin Rights (Right click, choose "Run as Administrator")
