Cannot load MBAM!!

Recommended Posts

Please help I cannot use my Malwarebytes', the program won't open, keeps giving error message. Last Wednesday (November 10) it was in the process of scanning but did not complete it. Gave an error message. I don't remember what it was. Today it won't even open.

Computer system as follows

1. Windows XP Professional Version 5.1 Service Pack 3

2. Microsoft Security Essentials--Microsort Firewall is active

3. 32-bit

4. MBAM Free Version 1.46.1

5. No router/dial-up

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Droopsygirl -

Almost every MBAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE error is corrected by deleting the current rules.ref file and having MBAM download a new copy. In cases where the problem keeps happening repeatedly on a particular system it's usually due to dropped connections and/or packets (often with the slower connection types such as satellite and dialup) or because of antivirus/firewall software interfering.

Please go to Control Panel > Add Remove and delete your version - Then try to install This New Version of Malwarebytes -

Thank You -

With BBCode the Slash should be on the last item , like - [indnt] First [/indnt] Last -
