Scheduling Scans & Updates

Recommended Posts

Good evening:

I have attempted to schedule scans & updates but unsuccessful. I receive an error message as follows:

[OpenEvent]failed to perform desired action. Error code 2

Also appear to have problems with the Enable Protection Module.

Please provide answers as to why this is occurring.

Regards,

Cyberjoyce :)

Greetings Cyberjoyce and welcome :)

Please make sure that you are logged into Windows as an administrator. If you are not, you will not be able to set scheduled items via the scheduler or enable the protection module.

If you set your scheduled items from your administrative user account and set them to run silently from the system account they will execute even when you are logged in as a limited user.

Hi Exile360,

I have signed in as an administrator and will see if scanning occurs.

Thank you so much for your assistance. I will let you know how I fare out.

Regards,

Cyberjoyce :)
