DDS/GMER logs - please help!

Hi,

I am having serious issues with computer instability and internet. I am noticing my CPU usage is jumping from an average of 10% to 30-50% at any given moment. This is very abnormal, as it usually hovers close to 0%. I am also having issues with internet pages I am trying to load being redirected to obvious malicious websites. I believe I have taken all the steps to help fix this problem, and I think the only option I have left is professional intervention. If someone is able to assist me in fixing these problems, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you in advance! I apologize if this is not the proper format, although I have done the best I can. The ark.txt and Attach.txt files should be attached as requested.

Here is the DDS log, followed by the MBAM log:

Hello Kernal

Welcome to Malwarebytes.

=====================

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan or rootkit.

This type of infection has the capabilities to allows hacker to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and download and execute files.

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall

We can still clean this machine but I can't guarantee that it will be 100% secure afterwards. Let me know what you decide to do.

If you still want to clean it please do the following

===================

  • Download TDSSKiller and save it to your Desktop.
  • Extract its contents to your desktop.
  • Once extracted, open the TDSSKiller folder and doubleclick on TDSSKiller.exe to run the application, then on Start Scan.
  • If an infected file is detected, the default action will be Cure, click on Continue.
  • If a suspicious file is detected, the default action will be Skip, click on Continue.
  • It may ask you to reboot the computer to complete the process. Click on Reboot Now.
  • If no reboot is required, click on Report. A log file should appear. Please copy and paste the contents of that file here.
  • If a reboot is required, the report can also be found in your root directory, (usually C:\ folder) in the form of "TDSSKiller.[Version]_[Date]_[Time]_log.txt". Please copy and paste the contents of that file here.

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1

Link 2

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools
  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

So sorry for the delayed response; I've been on another computer changing vital information. I've decided to keep this computer running without reformatting or reinstalling the OS, for the time being. I'm just not going to use it for anything that could get me in trouble. Just gaming, etc.. I will, however, backup my files I'd like to keep onto an external hard drive so that when I do reformat/reinstall the OS, I don't lose everything. Is that safe to do? For example, pictures I have saved or text files. Or could -anything- I have saved on this computer be infected? Either way, here are my logs:

I will, however, backup my files I'd like to keep onto an external hard drive so that when I do reformat/reinstall the OS, I don't lose everything. Is that safe to do? For example, pictures I have saved or text files. Or could -anything- I have saved on this computer be infected?
Yes it is safe but it is a good idea to right click and scan with an up to date antivirus before pulling them back over to the new installation.

Update Run Malwarebytes

Please update\run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.

Double Click the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware icon to run the application.

  • Click on the update tab then click on Check for updates.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the update has loaded, go to the Scanner tab and select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatley.

=====

* Go here to run an online scannner from ESET.

  • Note: You will need to use Internet explorer for this scan
  • Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
  • Click Start
  • When asked, allow the activex control to install
  • Click Start
  • Check next options: Remove found threats and Scan unwanted applications.
  • Click Scan
  • Wait for the scan to finish
  • Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Online Scanner\log.txt
  • Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic

Thank you so much for the help, you two. I greatly appreciate it. :) One other thing I should mention is that I have a program called Spybot: Search and Destroy on my computer. I'm not sure why, but many times when I restart my computer, the program tells me that there is an attempt at a registry change (sometimes several attempts). I'm not sure what to do about those, and regrettably I have not written them down. Should I just delete the Spybot program in its entirety?

Here are the two logs as requested (Malware was updated slightly, and found nothing):

Thank you so much for the help, you two. I greatly appreciate it.
You are welcome but is someone else helping you with me? :)

You can remove spybot it makes it less likely to block any changes we need to make.

===========

Please run DDS once more then post the 2 logs that open please.

Also let me know of any remaining issues.

Lmao, my mistake. You're the only one! I don't know why I thought there was someone else. Must have been late.

I have a list of processes (after using alt + ctrl + delete) when I start my computer that I typically close, and I'm not sure what their functionality is or why they're even there. Do these look suspicious? I closed the majority of them before I ran DDS. I'll run it again with them open if you want me to.

WZQKPICK.exe

WindowsSearch.exe

unsecapp.exe

svchost.exe (about 9 of those)

searchindexer.exe, searchprotocolhost.exe, searchfilterhost.exe

rundll32.exe

SeaPort.exe

jusched.exe

jqs.exe

nvraidservice.exe, nvsvc32.exe

mDNSresponder.exe

Here are the two logs:
