mbam process speed

is there a way to speed up the mbam.exe without having to change task priority in the task mgr when performing scans?? i noticed in windows task mgr that mbam.exe is running at 'below normal speed' ...

also when scanning does 'full scan' include all items in the 'quick scan', and does 'quick scan' include all items in 'flash scan'??

in other words if i do 'full scan' do i get items in all 3 scans, and if doing 'quick scan' do i get all items in both 'quick scan' and 'flash scan'??

Quick Scan versus Full Scan

Hello emilemma, and welcome to the forums here at Malwarebytes.org

Basically, a quick scan searches in all areas that malware likes to hide. Also, if you run a full scan, some malware has a chance to change itself, so the longer the scan, the longer the malware (if you have this type of malware) has to change.

A Flash scan I believe scans only critical areas and items loaded in memory....

A full scan will scan everything, and the only thing that a full scan will find that a quick scan will not are already-dead traces of infections that are gone already and items in the system restore area. Items in the system restore area cannot harm your machine unless you use an infected restore point.
