Can't get rid of tooltip balloon

I'm trying to stop the tooltip balloon from appearing everytime Malwarebytes updates. I have unchecked the box marked 'Show tooltip balloon after successful update' but when I close the window and reopen it the checkmark is back and the update balloons keep showing up. I'm having this problem on a XP computer. I have another XP computer where the tooltip balloon checkbox behaves normally. Suggestions welcome.

This is probably because you are editing the current job that is scheduled. The jobs can not be edited. You would have to delete the current job and reschedule it with the settings you want.

Once you register your full version make sure you schedule your program for automatic updates and scans.....
