I've cleaned av8.exe...

Recommended Posts

... from my Win7 laptop and Malwarebytes also found and quarantined the following:

1. Trojan.FakeAlert

2. Rogue.Multiple

3. Adware.MyWebSearch

I've redone the scan and nothing has been found but I am now having trouble getting into the OS properly.

Windows boots normally, accepts my username/password then just presents me with a blank screen. If I do ctrl+alt+del I get the normal options (lock this computer etc.) but as soon as I cancel that screen I get a blank screen again.

I can boot in safe mode okay, but not sure what to do next?

Has anyone come across something similar?

Thanks in advance.

Matt
