The end of March was a long time ago. I was hoping for a new version by now. one with a scheduler that works, because this one ain't worth a s&&%

I want to update daily at 1AM and scan at 2. I had to stay up til 1 to schedule the update. Okay, I got that done. Can I schedule a scan at 2? Nope, whatever I try, it will only schedule both update and scan for the same day and time. I didn't think that work and I was right.... CRASH!

Hello Keith and welcome to Malwarbytes

Yes there is a new version coming up, but I see this is your first post here so I'm guessing you've not actually worked with someone before on this issue. I'm not aware of any issue like this that you describe.

Where did you get the program file from? What Anti-Virus are you running? What OS are you running?

Greetings! I've had MBAM about three years and never had a problem. Last month I used the roll-back feature on this Dell laptop to "as shipped" five years ago. I updated Windows XP to SP3, IE8 and WMP11, plus all the other patches. Reinstalled Sunbelt Personal Firewall, Avast5 a/v and SuperAntispyware Pro. I Reinstalled MBAM with the link in the email from original purchase. (Firefox & Thunderbird profiles stored on a USB thumb with MozBackup)

[big][big]Hi, Haider! I saved the installer and cleanup to the desktop, then uninstalled with the Revo uninstaller, then rebooted.

After the reboot mbam-cleanup wouldn't run, I imagine because Revo left nothing behind.

mamerror.jpg

I installed, registered and updated MBAM. As I expected, when I opened the scheduler it wanted to scan today at 10:30AM. So I'll stay up late once again to schedule the update for 1AM. My money says when I try to schedule a scan an hour later it will only want to go with 1AM.

There has to be a better way. this is unsatisfactory. This is now the third Chinese fire drill of un/reinstall![/big][/big]

When you opened the scheduler after a clean removal it would not want to run any type of scan or update as it would be blank on 1.46 so something isn't right here.

Please review the 2 following links below on setting schedules. Remember you cannot Edit a schedule, also check in your Windows TASKS and make sure you don't have one set there as well if so please remove it.

Also please run the following. Click on START - RUN and copy, paste the following into the run line and click OK and post back what they say.

CMD /K SCHTASKS /Query /FO LIST /V

Do the same for this one please

CMD /K SC QUERYEX SCHEDULE

Yes, when I opened it, it was blank. It wanted to sched a scan for that day and time, today at 10AM, so I'll try again to update at 1AM and scan at 2AM, but I'm expecting the same result. Whatever one is set at it will only set the other the same.

I've removed and rescheduled several times, restarting MBAM in between. It's like watching a tape of the Super Bowl, hoping for a different winner.

In Start-Run Windows said "unrecognizable" to the first and "running" to the second.

HUH, how 'bout dat? I opened the scheduler and changed the date to tomorrow. I was finally able to type over the times to 1AM and 2AM. Before, it would just freeze whenever I tried that. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
