Is MBAM CPU/RAM Heavy?

Recommended Posts

Greetings and welcome :)

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is typically pretty light on system resources as long as you set proper exclusions for it in your other security software. Please refer to our FAQ for details on how to do so.

On average the protection module in Malwarebytes' uses approximately 30K-80K of RAM and there are only very brief spikes in CPU usage, averaging around 2-20% CPU whenever a new process is executed as it's being checked, but the CPU usage promptly settles down to 0%. There is also a momentary spike after database updates that lasts anywhere from 2 seconds to 45 seconds, depending on database size and operating system.
