Lost IP address with Wifi connection

Hello there,

It would be amazing if anyone could talk me through fixing this! I found another forum on Lost IP address but couldn't understand it.

I've got a Novatech laptop, it runs on windows XP.

It was all working fine two weeks ago, but now when I try and connect to the net (using built in modem and Wifi) as it starts up it gets stuck on 'renewing ip address' for minutes and then fails to connect.

I've tried using 'Help and Support', it suggested checking that the IP address was set on being obtained automatically (yes that was fine)

And also some steps to see if it had been abbreviated, but the boxes it asked me to find don't exist in my Network settings.

Any ideas?

I am not familiar with Novatech there are couple of options you may try one after other

1. Turn your wireless OFF then ON
   
2. Uninstall/Reinstall Driver
