Minor Problems

Recommended Posts

I have recently recovered from an infection of Antivirus Software Alert recently, but my PC (A Windows XP Laptop) still has some problems.

My computer boots up as normal, but it takes 10-15 min for the taskbar to fully load. In the meantime, any program I open- avast!, firefox, google chrome, Windows Media Player- will not show up on the taskbar. They will also freeze up until the taskbar finishes loading. Also, if I minimize the program, I cannot open it until the fifteen minutes have passed.

Missing File

When my computer starts up, a window infobox pops reading, "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\ijehiyesu.dll The specified module could not be found". The file requested had been moved to Avast's virus chest, but as part of the malware removal process, we uninstalled and reinstalled Avast. The file has been deleted as a result of this. What do I do now?

Windows Movie Maker

I am currently working on a project in WMM, and if I have any other programs up or leave more than a couple items in my collections, it freezes up. Thankfully, I can still access the rest of my computer's features, but I do lose data from the video.

Thank you in advance for the help. I am very busy but I shall do my best to respond post haste.
