Welcome to the forum

At the beginning of this guide are instructions on how to boot into safe mode with network support and links for downloading rkill and exehelper.

Then run HJT and.......

[*]Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [xpolbttd] C:\Documents and Settings\LaDonna\Local Settings\Application Data\inlirs\pudusftav.exe

O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 93.188.162.83,93.188.161.223

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 93.188.162.83,93.188.161.223

O20 - Winlogon Notify: a8eaba49382 - C:\WINDOWS\system32\__c009561F.dat (file missing)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: __c008DAC1 - C:\WINDOWS\system32\__c008DAC1.dat (file missing)

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

----------------------------------------

Delete this folder if you can, you may have to show hidden files:

C:\Documents and Settings\LaDonna\Local Settings\Application Data\inlirs

How to show hidden files/folder:

Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.

Double-click on the My Computer icon.

Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.

After the new window appears select the View tab.

Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.

Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.

Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.

Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.

Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.

Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.

---------------------------------------

Download and run both rkill and exehelper, now see if you can update and run MBAM

Post the logs back here, Good Luck....MrC
