Trojan Agents: rpcnetp.dll & rcpnetp.exe

Hello All :( !

Last night, MBAM found and quarantined these:

- C:\Windows\System32\rpcnetp.dll

- C:\Windows\System32\rcpnetp.exe

I had a bit of a google and they might relate to some laptop-tracking program produced by Absolute Software (in case of theft) and be false positives.

On the other hand, I don't think I have a program like this on my laptop (HP, Vista, SP2).

I've run the Microsoft Windows Malicious Removal Tool - All OK.

Are these 'false positives'?

They've suggested I consult you :( !

Thank you very much for any help and advice :( !

Restore them from quarantine and then zip and attach either of them to your next post.

The scan log is not in developers mode as the files were already removed and as such is not of any use currently.

Hi - thanks very much :( !

I hope I've done it right!
