unable to remove malware

Recommended Posts

my computer has become infected. i couldn't run or update antivirus or malware programmes and my browser wouldn't connect to any sites relating to malware removal.i managed to run mbam and superantispyware by renaming the .exe files and removed a trojan. this allowed me to update and run avast( which detected nothing) and to connect to malware sites, but mbam and superantispyware still wont run without renaming .exe( neither has detected anything) and my browser is constantly being redirected.

please help!

i have included mbam, dds and gmer logs.

:(

I'm heir and I'll be helping you sort out this.

Something I should point out, regarding CCleaner and similar products

It's not recommended to use of registry cleaners. These often cause more problems than they fix. One of the Experts at Geekstogo, miekiemoes has an excellent writeup here

Another excellent article by Bill Castner is located here.

Proceed with this if one step fails do the next one.

Step 1.

TDSSKiller:

Please read carefully and follow these steps.

  • Download TDSSKiller and save it to your Desktop.
  • Extract its contents to your desktop.
  • Once extracted, open the TDSSKiller folder and doubleclick on TDSSKiller.exe to run the application, then on Start Scan.
    TDSSKillermain.png
  • If an infected file is detected, the default action will be Cure, click on Continue.
    TDSSKillerMal-1.png
  • If a suspicious file is detected, the default action will be Skip, click on Continue.
    TDSSKillerSuspicious.png
  • It may ask you to reboot the computer to complete the process. Click on Reboot Now.
    TDSSKillerCompleted.png
  • If no reboot is require, click on Report. A log file should appear. Please copy and paste the contents of that file here.
  • If a reboot is required, the report can also be found in your root directory, (usually C:\ folder) in the form of "TDSSKiller.[Version]_[Date]_[Time]_log.txt". Please copy and paste the contents of that file here.

Step 2.

ComboFix:

We will begin with ComboFix.exe. Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

* Ensure you have disabled all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply for further review.

Step 3.

Things I would like to see in your reply:

  • The content of the log from TDSSkiller in step 1.
  • The content of C:\ComboFix.txt from step 2
