Okay well we can't work any other logs right now except for your PC.

When we're done you can open a new post for your Uncle's computer.

STEP 1

Go into your Control Panel, Add/Remove and remove all versions of JAVA, Sun Java, etc.

Then after the uninstall go to this location C:\Program Files and if you find a folder called JAVA delete it.

We will reinstall Java when we're all done.

STEP 2

For now let's disable all this Bit Torrent software which can get you reinfected while were trying to cleanup

When we're done you can re-enable the software if you like but for now lets disable it as shown below

STEP 3

Start Hijackthis and do a Scan only and place a check mark on the following items.

  • O2 - BHO: Thunder AtOnce - {01443AEC-0FD1-40fd-9C87-E93D1494C233} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: SSVHelper Class - {761497BB-D6F0-462C-B6EB-D4DAF1D92D43} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\ssv.dll
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe"

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [bitTorrent] "C:\Program Files\BitTorrent\bittorrent.exe" --force_start_minimized
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [bitTorrent DNA] "C:\Program Files\DNA\btdna.exe"
    O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\ssv.dll

    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {09BA8F6D-CB54-424B-839C-C2A6C8E6B436} - (no file)
    Then click on Fix selected

STEP 4

Start Malwarebytes and go to the UPDATE tab and update the program.

Then go to the SCANNER tab and run a Quick Scan and make sure you have MB remove / fix anything it finds and then REBOOT your computer.

STEP 5

After the reboot run a new HJT scan only and post back the MB and HJT logs.

These file cannot be found in HJT but i assume it was probably due to the uninstallation of java in step 1

The MB log shows that you DID NOT tell it to fix it.

Registry Data Items Infected:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoFolderOptions (Hijack.FolderOptions) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoRun (Hijack.Run) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\DisableTaskMgr (Hijack.TaskManager) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System\DisableCMD (Hijack.CMDPrompt) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.

This file here is running in memory and it does not appear to be Malware.

It is listed as being: Realtek Audio HD rerouter from Realtek Semiconductor Corp.

C:\DOCUME~1\ERNSTO~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\RtkBtMnt.exe

The issue with it is WHERE it's running from. It's up to you but if it were me I would kill it and delete it and reinstall the driver if needed so that it runs from a more proper location. Something like C:\Program Files\Realtek or similar.

In general no file should be running long term from a %temp% location.

Please run MB, update it again, and do another Quick Scan and this time make sure you tell it to fix the Registry entries.

Also make sure you don't have any other programs running that monitor the Registry and prevent it from being changed by MB.

  • Root Admin

Please run HJT and do a Scan only and place a checkmark on this item

O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1

Then click on Fix selected... and REBOOT the computer

After that, start MB and go to the UPDATE tab and update the program again (there have been 5 or 6 updates since you last updated it)

Then do a Quick Scan and fix anything it finds. REBOOT the computer.

Run another HJT and post back both MB and HJT logs.

Thanks
