We have a user's machine here with that same nasty virus. I have tried everything; checking the hosts file (it is clean) and running MBAM (free version; updated 2 days ago) and ESET NOD32 (updated today) with no relief. I have disabled all the add ons in IE and removed Google (not the software I don't think) using the IE tools-manage add ons function. I have done this in safe mode with networking and regular mode (the ESET doesn't seem to work in safe mode although it says it does.Can anyone help?Maybe I could flush the DNS. We some software on the machine that is a pain to install if I have to wipe it plus I don't know where the XP disc is, etc. Plus the user is doing her own research and who knows what else with the computer.Thanks for this forum Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
