search redirect -- can run scan, cannot update

I can run Malwarebytes, it finds nothing but I cannot update, I get an error message telling me to contact Malwarebytes...

Normal browsing is OK but anything with a search gets redirected ie. Yahoo!, Google, even Craigslist.

Any help appreciated.
