Tryed everithing to instal mbam

Recommended Posts

Hi,first of all if my explanation is not like normal,I'm living in Belgium and try to write in my best possible English! I've been active on a dutch forum they send me to here for a solution

I gonna try to explain wat i have done to install mbam (1.46) and the problem I've got with it.

I download the installer from http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

A soon the install is finished i get the errors

mbam1.jpg

mbam2.jpg

I uninstall with revo uninstaller -- reboot -- mbam-clean.exe -- reboot -- install V1.46 Still: MBAM_ERROR.

I've try also the custom installer from here http://malwarebytes.org/mbam-download-exe-random.php

Even a system restore to the end of September after a Windows update give no different.

I'm sure that there's no spyware now,i scan with spybot search and destroy.

I hope that someone has a solution.

Hello silverwing: :(

Please don't worry, you've explained the problem very clearly, however, certain information is missing, please provide following and someone will help you:

  1. OS version?
  2. Installed Security Product(s) including Firewall?

Let's try another attempt of clean install. Please follow these instructions in the same order

If you have registered version then have the ID/KEY from the system handy, You should also have an email from Cleverbridge with your ID/KEY purchase information

  1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs from the Control Panel
  2. Restart your computer (very important)
  3. Download and run mbam-clean.exe
  4. Restart your computer (very important)
  5. Download a fresh copy from here
  6. Disable Antivirus temporarily. Then install MBAM from the newly downloaded copy after completion it will automatically open update window, please allow (current 4746)
  7. Register it with the ID/KEY (in case of registered version)
  8. Enable Antivirus ensuring all recommended exclusions are still in place

Note: If using a third-party software firewall you'll need to exclude MBAM.EXE from it as well

Should you have any other question(s) please post back using MXyBj.png button

MBAM_ERROR_EXPANDING_VARIABLES (0,9)

MBAM_ERROR_MISSING_FILE (3,0, mbamswissarmy.sys)

The system cannot find the path specified.

Here's a fix that exile360 made, it is universal for XP, Vista and Windows 7 and should fix the problem:

Note: If using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you MUST right-click on the file and select "Run as administrator".

  • Please copy and paste the following text in the Code box exactly as written into notepad (not wordpad or any other text editor):
    @color 48
    @echo off
    if exist "%allusersprofile%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" md "%allusersprofile%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
if not exist "%allusersprofile%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" md "%allusersprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
    if exist "%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" md "%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
if not exist "%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu" md "%userprofile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
    del /f /q %0

  • Once you've done that click on File and select Save As...
  • In the Save dialogue box click on the drop down menu next to Save as type and select All Files
  • Name the file Fix.bat (the .bat extension is very important)
  • Save the file to your desktop and double click it to run it if using Windows XP. If using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you MUST right-click on the file and select Run as administrator otherwise it will not work.
  • Once that's complete try running Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again to see if it now works without error or not.

Thank you so much,I've tried for 3 days to install, and now with the fix its work perfect.
