Windows XP malwarebytes crashing

Hello : :)

Sorry to hear that you are having problem with MBAM. Please provide following details, someone will help you:

  1. OS version with system locale
  2. Installed Security Product(s) including Firewall
  3. MBAM version (current 1.46)
  4. Definition version (current 4707)

Please do one more attempt of scanning with (Heuristics Shuriken Disabled) after definition update

  1. Click on Settings
  2. Click on Scanner Settings
  3. Uncheck Enable advanced heuristics engine (Heuristics Shuriken)

Ok turned that off and it stopped crashing.. and yes it does stop on a certain file.. the ver.dll file is what is locking it up during a scan or closing it when I try to scan just that one file. Thought maybe the file was corrupt or infected so expanded it from the Windows XP Sp3 CD but no go.. still did the same. I also disabled Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 during the scan. MBAM is 1.46 version and was updated just before the scan for the definitions.
