I installed this after Ie was getting rerouted to other web sites

I installed the free version and I can't update. It looks like there is a code as if I have a license but I didn't purchase this.

I've tried to uninstall it and reinstall numerous times and ran Ccleaner with no luck. It works fine on

Is there a hidden file some where I need to delete.

Can I download this on a usb stick and run it from there to see if I have malware or have been hijacked?

Oh crap! I have the free version. I tried your link for the update and thats not where i got the file from. it is the same version. i think I load a bogus version of MBam

Second - If you think it is a bugus , copy can you do a screen shot of it for me please -

To Fully Remove and Reinstall a Fresh New Copy of Malwarebytes - Read Carefully

Windows XP:

• Click on Start and select Control Panel
  
• Open Add/Remove Programs
  
• Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  
• Restart your computer very important !
  
• Download and run mbam-clean.exe from Here
  

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so, very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

• Click on the Start button and select Control Panel
  
• Click on Programs and Features
  
• Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  
• Restart your computer very important !
  
• Download and run mbam-clean.exe from Here

I am still having the same almost the same problem

It allows me to register it if I want to purchase the product unlike before and I don't see any sign that I have a key\license

However I still can not get updates

I am running win 7 64

Avast antivirus

I followed the steps above

Uninstalled the program

Rebooted

Ran Mbam clean

Rebooted

Turned off Avast

Reinstalled Malwarebytes after install

tried to update no luck

Rebooted

2nd try I did all of the steps but also turned off when I ran MBAM CLEAN

Then let it update at the time of install

I just want to get the free version to work. I want it to update without an error.

Malwarebytes is not working I loaded spybot and found 4 threat that malwarebytes did not

Could I send a copy of my registry and see if there is something impeding Malwarebytes?

The error I get is

"Mbam_Error_updating(12007,0,Winhttpsendrequest)
