Quick Scan Shut Down

So, obviously I'm infected.

When I run the quick scan, it scans, then gives me a pop up reading... damnit. random restart. brb to finish

Kk, false alarm. Thought I could just edit, but I guess not.

Anyway.

I run the quick scan, then it gives me a pop up saying "Quick Scan succesfully completed, click Veiw Results etc", However, when I click the OK button, to remove the pop up alert, Mbam shuts down. And I can't click on Show Results while the pop up alert is active.

What am I doing wrong?

I just downloaded Mbam an hour ago, and it updated itself before letting me scan...so it can't possibly be an old version.

And before someone posts one of their copy and paste comments, Just don't. I've already spent 20 minutes browsing the forums and I saw Nothing that would help me with this problem.

Already read that. And it didn't say anything about what to do when the Mbam shuts down like this.

Yes it does. It says if you're unable to run or do any of the requested items to still create a NEW post in the HJT forum as we do not work on Malware removal in any of the other forums.

Someone will work with you one on one to assist you in that forum. Thanks

Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that you're alerted when someon has replied to your post.

Hmm.

Technically it is running, it's just shutting down when I try to move past the scan.

But, you're right. Thank you AdvancedSetup, and Haider, for your help.

I'll pop over to the HJT forum right away and see what can be done.
