msllhsjn.dll removal caused problems

Hi,

I'm totally unfamiliar with posting any logs or anything but I hope you can help me anyway. I recently had about 60 trojan warnings and a suggestion to install that fake removal tool. I didn't do the latter but had Malwarebytes and other programs remove this threat.

Now at every startup and in random intervals, my PC whines on and on about not being able to load msllhsjn.dll which was removed during the cleaning process. This prompt is followed by "Windows explorer has stopped working/is restarting" and it's extremely annoying.

I cannot do a System Recovery as the restore points available are way after the infection and removal. I ran RegClean and my registry seems okay. What can I do now?

Hi and Welcome -

This is a trojan that has been identified (mainly in UK areas) this year - Please allow our experts to help remove it and clean your system -

Follow these instructions as best as you can and an expert will help you to post any logs that you have problems with -

As we do not work on Malware removal or diagnostics in the general forums please follow these directions -

Please print out, read and follow What do I do now? , skipping any steps you are unable to complete.

The next step is post a New Topic Here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.

After posting your new post make sure under options that you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options so that

you're alerted when someone has replied to your post - Please allow at least 48 hours for a reply as the experts can get busy at times -

Also add a brief note to the experts as to your problems -

Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org or via This Link

Thanks, but the steps you suggested are pretty similar to the ones I took to REMOVE msllhsjn.dll in the first place. Now my PC is whining about MISSING this file which was supposed to be harmful. I've read elsewhere (can't find the link anymore) that this file makes the computer "think" it needs it, and cause trouble after deletion of said file. The file is gone, that's the "problem" which shouldn't be one. Now I'm confused.
