false positive?

Hmm... could you please locate the C:\Windows\system32\ActiveToolBand.dll file, right-click it, then choose 'Properties' from the menu?

On the 'General' tab, what does it say the file size is? And on the 'Version' tab, what does it say under 'Company'?

Also go to http://www.virustotal.com/ and upload the ActiveToolBand.dll file to be scanned on line, then please post the resulting report.

Looks like a FP to me. Still not running Vista myself, but you can probably find the company/vendor information on the Details tab, then.

Please attach a MBAM scan log of this , I have a feeling that linking is detecting this and I need to check each detection to find where the linking starts .
