But after it performed a quick scan just a few minutes, a window poped up said "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has stopped working". I tried several times, it just didnt work no matter I run in a quick or a full scan, with ot without my Anti-Virus program enabled.

Hello Tomie: :)

Please add the following exclusions in Avira

  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll
  • C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys

Note: If using a software firewall besides the built in Windows Firewall you'll need to exclude MBAM.EXE from it as well

There is a known issue of Heuristics Shuriken with some foreign languages

Please update MBAM (4640) do one more attempt of Quick Scan with Heuristics Shuriken Disabled

  1. Click on Settings
  2. Click on Scanner Settings
  3. Uncheck Enable advanced heuristics engine (Heuristics Shuriken)

Give it a shot and let us know please! Don't forget to include The System Locale. Should you have any other question(s) please post back

Hello able and :welcome:

We are disappointed to read your system is having issues. Each computer is unique. Problems that seem "the same" most often are not.

The same is true for solutions. They most often need to be individualized.

It is less confusing for everyone if we adhere to the "one user per topic" forum policy.

Please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using this cjfj.png button.

Staffers, experts and helpers will be able to more easily provide both you, and the OP, with individualized assistance to get you both up and running.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. :)
