Today, Bleeping Computers got hacked for a bit.. Now I think they are now hacked again..

TY Malwarebytes, it stopped me going to the site.. here is the IP from a ping I did

208.87.149.250

The address returns to a porn site by checking IP Whois..

Sooooo..

Thought I give a heads up since they do refer malwarebytes alot for help..

Hello oldpapa49 and elise025:

Full/Pro version of MBAM will block access to this site if IP Protection is enabled. Please see below

SEdut.png

By the way I wasn't trying to Add to Ignore List rather someone at forum asked how to permenantly remove a site from being blocked and I knew bleepingcomputers is the one that would be blocked :)

I'll give grinler a nudge, but I don't know if there's a lot he can do about it. After all its not BC's domain name.

When I access that site, I don't get anything out of the ordinary (some innocent advertising, nothing more). MBAM updated and IP protection turned on doesn't do a thing.

When I initially replied (Post #3), I had another example in mind where slight change in spelling... you know what I mean, please try http://www.daemon-tools.cc and http://www.deamon-tools.cc

However, it was a coincidence that when oldpapa49 tried with s (http://www.bleepingcomputers.com) thought the site is hacked, whereas, elise025 was pointing to the legit site http://www.bleepingcomputer.com that just recovered from an attack. At that time I was able to recall my reply a few days ago when I had that screenshot

sho-dan thanks for verifying, and elise025 once again my apologies, it maybe due to miscommunication

Wow, this surely turn into a good discussion from my mistake...

I have malwarebytes paid version and enabled the website blocking feature ( I never surf with out it!)

And who knows what I type when I type. Its just me..

When I did the IP whois last nite, that addr returned something to yougporn.... something to that effect.. Thats when I got into oh oh mode...

But it was my typing or clicking or whatever I was doing.

And BTW, I play a lot of online games on STEAM and had some gamer try a chat.. Being a nice old guy, I open the chat and asked what he wanted.. no reply.. did a few times asking.. nothing, did the nice old gent telling him to go away.. closed the chat and bang... with in 40 secs, I had over 100 hits of bad ip's Mostly the same.. Turned out they where from China STEAM game type servers or something.. the IP protection was blinking so fast.. I just waited and let it do its thing..

Hi ! I get alot of blocked IP's from China. If I'm on my PC; I just restart and get a new IP address. That seems to slow them down. My SP gives me different IP every time I restart.post-43884-1284789309_thumb.jpg

H i elise. Thank you for your post. I have already reported this before. I don't have any malware. My PC is clean. Malwarebytes is doing just what it's supposed to do; it's blocking IP's from China that Malwarebytes considers malicious. I love my Malwarebytes and will never be without it. It's a long story about me and China, and I have been asked not to discuss it on the forum again, and I will honor that request. If you are interested, just click on my name and read my all my posts. Thank you again for your post, and your concern. I saw this topic and I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I try to post when I think I might be of some help to members on the forum.

Hi Garybear, please follow the steps here and post the requested logs in the Malware Removal Forum

I think I understand what your saying. Some things I know a lot ,other things not so much.I have a Comtrend Router, and I use ONline Armor for firewall. One of them probably should block the IP's first. Some how they get threw on occasions, and Malwarebytes blocks them. I don't have that answer. I usally just restart my PC, which gives me a different IP address. I haven't been seeing those chinese IP's very much lately. They were pretty often for awhile. I get one occasionly. I repored it to my SP. Thanks once again for your post and your concern.===Garybear

Garybear, this means that either your router or software firewall isn't doing their job properly.
