Computer settings interfering with scan?

Recommended Posts

I have been getting "Trojan Agents" repeatedly in my MBAM scans. I posted on the false positive forum and they confirmed the files being detected are not malicous. They redirected me here for troubleshooting. See my prior posts on the false positive board here: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=62763

What computer settings might cause these problems?

Greetings! :) What kind of computer is it? XP or Win7? I see you have AVG & Zone Alarm

If I read the log you posted right on Post #1 in the FP forum. Also what does your AVG scan show up when its done?

EDIT: In speaking with 1 of the experts Were not looking at an infection. You need to check the settings in your AVG to make sure that the correct Malwarebytes files are being excluded !!!

http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...mp;#entry167851 Look at Section H

See Section H on what files to let Malwarebytes trust for AVG.

Once thats done. Someone will address Zone Alarm....if needed

EDIT 2: If you need any help with the above or settings. Don't hesitate to post back & ask. Someone will help you...regards...

Hi,

I have reviewed the thread you posted here:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic345848.html

It looks like you have some serious issues on your system there, because other scanners also have misdetections. It looks like something got corrupted there, causing a LOT of read errors on disk.

I also see that the "lastknowngood" is frequently showing in logs...

Please do me a favor and UNINSTALL Zonealarm. Because I guess this is the main culprit why things aren't working correctly.

Then reboot after uninstalling.

Then please post a HijackThis log in your next reply so I can verify Zonealarm is properly uninstalled.
